F4 clear up. DO NOT SAY I LIKE F4!!! Just the thought gave me a heart attack.
I think that Meteor Garden is funny and should NOT be taken seriously. It is a ridiculous and interesting love story aka somewhat unlikely. Not the pairing, but rather their juvenile behaviour. that's what makes is so funny. I would probably recommend it if I had nothing to do, it's entertainment rather than romance. (if you want serious story and drama, you'll be wasting your time) I think the reason why Meteor Garden 2 (which I haven't and am unlikely to watch) failed was because it lacked the humor of MT 1. Because it lacked the humor, audiences were forced into taking it seriously. And by that the story takes on a whole different perspective, that's why it sucked. In dramas, humor precedes story, strip the humor from story, and you'd better have a darn good cast (which F4 are... i doubt i need to explain) or a darn good storyline. Best both, to keep audiences hanging on edge of their seat.
By now I suppose it's obvious that I don't favor f4 in any way whatsoever. Nor do I hate them. Quite frankly, I don't give a damn.
(though i do sometimes get very entertained when I see someone going gaga over them)

You know, I really don't mind if other people have opposing views from me. I mean, just because we're different doesn't mean we can't be together. What is the world if everyone thinks the same?
I don't mind if some people like to serve their man. I don't mind if women believe that they have their own gender roles (however, I do mind if men tell their woman to stay and listen to them). I seriously don't care. As long as you're happy, it really doesn't matter.
The reason why I am a stout feminist is because of the following.
I am not happy that "as a female, your brain is not as analytical as a man". Because I'm directly affected by it. By nature I have been competing with men. Engineering is a male dominated territory. I don't just want to fit in, I want to excel. Of course, should I be in a different situation like maybe in another department, I wouldn't feel the extreme need to prove myself. TO show that I am capable. I know some people look down upon me because I am female. Because I don't have that meat between the legs. That extra piece doesnt, and will not make you smarter. If it does, it just means that you think with your *ick, does it not?
Of course, when a man is truly better than me, the woman, I will graciously accept defeat. After all, there are limits to what I can do.
But remember this, for every man, there is a woman better than him. Likewise for women. It isn't fair to say that the female is the weaker sex. Nor is it fair to say that all men are inferior (as much as I want to declare so) but it is true that without either, this world will cease to exist.
So every time someone looks down on a female like me, all I have to do is smile, because you, my lovely little bugger, wouldnt be here if not for my kind. And when you one day fall into that deep abyss called "love" remember, that it is my kind that will have the power to change you.

big announcement!
I watched METEOR GARDEN. Actually lasted all the way to the end (fast forwarding when I got tired of their lameness, of course). And my comments? OOo F4 is sooo shuai!!!!
NOT!!!!
I give the show a total rating of 2 out of five houshiboshi!! Of course, one star was boosted up because san cai is so lovable and strong enough to go through life with four
And I was so disappointed at the end. I was like, what, after all this BS drama, the hot mama is just gonna like, drop it?? HAHAHA It's really unrealistic that a hot headed FEMALE would give up that easily. I dont know, but I think the MG project was nearing fund depletion, or the actors were just getting tired of the lame-ness. Either way, I was NOT SATISFIED!! Then again, I'm a blood and gore person. Definitely not cut out for MG.
Besides, it's a cheap movie with amateur actors. =X except darling san cai. Hua ze lei didnt look quiet and autistic, he just looked plain.. dumbfounded! Tired! No energy! But he got a bit better later. A BIT

the first thing I saw when I entered the orientation room. Geeks. O_O REAL LIFE SIZED GEEKS!!! NOOOOOO!!!!!
Oh well. You would expect coming into a room of 26 males (pratically 5 for each female present), one would at least find at least ONE handsome/cute/cool guy, right?
But as luck would have it.. I found none! Well there were some people on the same wavelength as me, but coming in as a transfer student aka "late freshman" I was pushed aside more than once for my extreme lack of "knowledge".
I was like, hello??? ARE YOU IGNORING ME???!!!! OOooh qi si ren le zhen de hao wu liao zhe mo ke yi yang HAO XIANG ZAI DIAO MOMO REN DE TOU!!!(translate: oh lovely, you look wonderful today~ ^^) @@#^%$@ CHUGULEH??!! (Korean for "do you wanna die, you lil bugger???" I would have topped it off with a lil flash of the middle finger but I decided not to, for Nina is being wayy to sensitive today due to her lack of sleep.
Sensitivity could be a problem that comes with the bleeding down under. heh. Quote "STOP ANNOUNCING TO THE WHOLE WORLD, YOU LOONY!"
Haiiyoo.. my level of maturity is significantly less than the non-fresh juniors. For that I'm not sure whether it's my mentality or just me. I may be stuck in the 16 year old stage.
Well at least I'm a junior, I won't have to go through the frosh pond << they dump all freshmen into this massive fountain in the middle of the sch (or so I heard from my outdated oyaji), thus the name "frosh pond"

Oh today is probably the last day I'll step into NSCC. Goodbye, I'm graduating! HAHAHA... Well I only realized it now. But I'm not sad! Never really liked the place. Only grown attached to the people.. But after all, if fate has it we'll meet again.
The cafeteria was so quiet after the Japanese went, and there I was standing in the middle feeling a sense of loss. A random thought hit me --- am I missing them already??? HAHAHA. You know, we might all just move on and forget each other. O_o yeah.. That's what happens.
BUT THIS TIME I GOT A PICTURE HAHAHA OH and I met them on the bus too. SO COINCIDENTAL RIGHT??!!! Fate must have it that we were destined to meet again ('cause it so has it that I chose to decline my dad's offer to drop me off and ran down to catch the bus instead.) but the last thing I said was "back door please! Thank you!" to the bus driver.... Well, something tells me I should have at least stopped and waved as them as they went on their merry way. After I took the trouble to remember their name. You all know it's quite a feat for a short term memory person like me.
well, tomorrow's an early day for house inspection.

Then it sooned dawned upon her... they know more english than she knew japanese OH the HORROR! Like a stone dropping on her lil @#@#ing arrogant head. Bushfuls of wheat may I say. SUPREME BUSHFULS OF WHEAT! BUSHFUL!!!

O_O HAIYOOOOO Since i cannot 3 8 over the phone I shall post all my 3 8 here.
HAHAHA. TODAY there was the lake city summer festival!! There were more stalls put up this year than last year YAY!! The pirates, as usual, came blasting everyone's eardrums out with their topid cannon on their paper boat. Okay .. it wasn't paper. The best thing was that we got fresh kettle corn and roasted corn!! < onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/2993/353/1600/1.jpg">
And then a jamaican beaded bracelet for $4
and another bracelet for 3 for $5 (split with kathie and tohn(well it rhymes with john right?) )
And kettle corn!! One bag of caramel and one original. Kettle corn is different from normal popcorn because it's rounder and sweeter(see diagram below). I dont know why, but it just tastes good ^^
From the junk yard.. erm .. I mean garage sale I got a $1 "shih kebab" necklace
and 50c earring which I took apart and changed to keychains!! Check out the before and after jewelery repair! I buffed up the earring with my silver polish (or which I refer to as saxophone juice) and tadaa!!
Look at the shine and lustre compared with it's unpolished brother! the altered one is the keychain, duh. I'm gonna attach the other, after rescue, of course, to my belt or something. Yeah well, anything but earrings.
All in all, today was really fun ^^ also helped someone move in.. hehe.that's all, i'm so tired I'm dizzy. Whoa check it out. @_@

PERHAPS I forgot to mention.
I got into UNiversity of Washington, the main campus.. It's the ONLY ONE I APPLIED for, so basically.. I'm DAMN HENG!! HOKI!! I WISHED UPON A HOUKI NO BOSHI!!! is that.. right??? When I get in I wanna take jap as an elective!! Since I need a language for the buisness school requirements. And then maybe can do exchange program!! Note : nina's main motivation for going to japan is her preoccupation with cute guys. She has some illusion that all guys there are cute because of peeps like raito and other anime/ manga guys she cant name at the moment.
Yeah, BACK TO MY SCH it's a ... not so big campus BUT it's okay larh... I shall take pics when i go there this friday so fishes and pigs and frogs(my kind! muaha) and chibichan and ryn ryn etc etc can see

- In a 4-quart Dutch oven heat olive oil over medium-high heat; Cook and stir onion,carrot,and garlic in hot oil about 3 minutes or until onion is tender.

This minestrone uses reduced-sodium chicken broth, tomatoes and beans. So if you happen to be on a low-sodium diet this is a good recipe for you, Though you can use regular chicken broth, tomatoes, beans etc. The recipe comes from Better Homes and Gardens
| 1 | tablespoon olive oil |
| 1 1/2 | cups chopped onions |
| 1 | medium carrot, halved lengthwise and thinly sliced |
| 2 | cloves garlic, minced |
| 3 | cups reduced-sodium chicken broth |
| 2 (14 1/2 | ounce) cans low-sodium tomatoes, undrained and cut up |
| 3/4 | cup water |
| 1/2 | cup long-grain rice |
| 1 | teaspoon dried Italian seasoning, crushed |
| 4 | cups chopped fresh spinach |
| 1 (15 | ounce) can reduced-sodium navy beans or white kidney beans, rinsed and drained (sometimes I use both kinds) |
| 1 | medium zucchini, quartered lengthwise and sliced |
| 1/4 | teaspoon fresh ground pepper |
| | grated parmesan cheese (optional) |
