My boyfriend is a mannequin


My boyfriend is a mannequin
who used to work in a runway shop.
Raised up and put on a pole,
he suffered days and nights
fighting shame because he thought he looked like a gigolo.
But instead of red he turned white
for mostly he was naked and thus too cold.
But then one day he met me
and from that horrid shop he decided to flee!
We lived a happy life
in our safe of stolen goods
Except his head was so hollow
he couldn't even talk.
"Stiff he was from head to toe,
that's what you'll be when you've been dangling on a pole."
We couldn't communicate through normal means,
we used telepathy instead.
He was so tough when banged around
he didn't even bleed.
Yet his scars were so real
they never ever fade
and the next day when the mall cops came
he bravely blocked the way
My poor mannequin boyfriend,
they kidnapped him that day.
They chopped his head off and put it on display
at the jewelry store up in broadway.
The body they decided to keep near by,
so they threw him into a prison of glass walls,
and now there it sits
with its other headless friends
in this jail called
Abercrombie and Fitch.
