Was just reading my posts from a year ago, and it's pretty apparent my writing style has changed quite a bit. It's not as Singlish. Probably because I've grown out of it or maybe it's just cause caryn or rachel haven't been infecting my brain with more of that hokkein nonsense. Dear ladies! I've yet to learn my own dying dialect! I wonder if being Hakka is actually special. Well, I really shouldn't be worrying about that now since my last final is less than 12 hours away and I have yet to study about 80% of the material.
Regardless I shall educate you on my real heritage. Seems like my family was originally from the yellow river region. Apparently we were very near and build fences of some sort because that's what my surname means. Fence. Then sooner or later the water would come in and wipe us out so we figured we had to get out of there somehow. So we packed up all our things and moved south. In our culture the women work too, so Hakka women were considered coarse and what not, they had what I like to believe as almost equal status as men. Or maybe I just made that up. Bah. And then we split up and one group went to Fujian and one went to Guangdong. Guess what? My mom's from the Fujian one and my dad's from the Guangdong one. So that still makes me like 80% Hakka. Well, all in all I'm still purely Chinese ... I'd like to think my big nose came from some exotic place, but nope, it's probably from some magic silt in the yellow river. Gah!.
Anwyays I desperately need a cure for my breakout!! T_T I have FUGLY SKIN NOW!!!! Tell me why do I have a breakout at 18 years of age?? Gosh! Wasn't puberty like so long ago?! It'll be funny if my boobs started growing again huh lol XD
K I need to ace the exam tomorrow X{
