it actually doesn't matter
A little girl once told me that we might get together. Yes, my ex-nemesis and me. But he found someone else. Then really, it didn't matter. A little surprised I suppose; never expected him to get one so soon (before me!) but other than that there were no feelings of loss, animosity, jealousy and the like. Why? Because I guess I never really did like him more than a friend. Or I never really did like him, I'm supposing it was this girl who invoked positive change in him before "oh, he's actually not evil enough to be my enemy!". All in all it turned out good.
Yesterday I saw a flip flop on the freeway. How did it get there? Where's the other one?
Maybe:
1. A lady (for it was definitely a lady flip flop) was doing some serious car acrobatics with the window down and it flew out of the grasp of her tiny toes!
2. Maybe it's like Cinderella, but instead of running down the stairs and clumsily slipping out of her shoe, she crossed the freeway and disappeared over the ledge, with only her flip flop to be found....
3. Or maybe she got slammed into by a car and her flip flop flew off and by the time Prince Charming appeared that's all he saw. Meanwhile a few miles away Cinderella sits in her bloody bath waiting for the ambulance to arrive.. all while Prince Charming picks up her flip flop, sniffs it, and goes "oh my lovely Princess, where art thou smelly feet?"
... Yeah, time to clean up my room.
